We achieve it through our seamless endeavour of partaking in various government’s schemes such as Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) NSW, Victorian Energy Upgrade (VEU) formerly known as Victoria Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) scheme and Renewable Energy Target (RET) to accelerate the energy efficiency all over Australia. Thus, it establishes us as a turnkey operator to provide you with a holistic solution to your energy-related problems for bringing out the best in our energy-saving platform.

Cyanergy, being Australia’s one of the most leading experts for LED lighting and solar energy has marked the 10th-anniversary for their dedicated services towards the cost-savings of your energy bill. The management team of Cyanergy is well informed and conversant with the installation and the maintenance of the LED lighting and PV solar systems. Our ceaseless efforts of remaining steadfast in providing the best customer service both in metropolitan and rural areas alongside the lighting upgrades in more than 3,00,000 houses and business properties both in Victoria and NSW alone, have helped us garner a wide recognition from all across Australia.

Victorian Energy Upgrade (VEU)

Victorian Energy Upgrade, formerly recognised as Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) is a Victorian Government enterprise, designed to subside the costs involved with your electricity usage by replacing your obsolete electrical products with the energy-efficient products or appliances at your property and hence, helps you lower your electricity bill with the inception of the affordable ranged lighting products. VEET aka VEU, gives you a wider range of affordable and energy-saving products, which will help you avail a greater savings on your daily consumption of bill.

According to the scheme, Accredited Person (AP) has the ability to create Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs), and Cyanergy has acquired the glory of becoming an AP in 2011. Each certificate denotes to one tonne of greenhouse gases abated. These certificates are then sold to the “Relevant Entities” or third-party energy retailers to generate the discount, which will be attributed to your installation of the lighting products. The discount can also be used for any necessary tasks associated with your installation, including lifts, additional equipment, add-ones for lights etc. The amount of discount relies upon the varying rate of VEECs and how much AP wishes to pay at its discretion. The VEU demands a certain number of VEECs certificates to be surrendered each year by the retailers and failing to comply with it can result in penalty charges.

Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) NSW

Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) for New South Wales is intended to serve the NSW households and small businesses to crater the energy consumption through introducing the incentives for purchasing the energy-saving and energy-efficient products from the licenced installers. This, in turn, helps the private or business properties to cut down the excess energy that would otherwise have been consumed. This scheme takes the Home Energy Efficiency Retrofits (HEER) method into account under the ESS to promulgate this incentive with the help of the Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs), which in this case is Cyanergy. ACPs, including Cyanergy, are accredited by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).

Cyanergy has been the ACP to provide the financial incentives under this scheme since 2010. This scheme also helps to dwindle carbon emissions, as well as ecological footprint by enabling you to access to a wider range of energy-saving products. The scheme helps you with the following activities, such as the replacement of downlights, Metal Halide, Mercury Vapour with LED High Bays lights, Tubes, upgrading of electrical equipment, and drought-proofing. Once installed or replaced, our dedicated and amicable customer supporting staffs will be in touch with you owing to getting the updates of your satisfaction, as well as feedback.

NSW Energy Saving Scheme encourages small businesses to use the financial incentives to upgrade their electricity consumption using Energy Savings Certificate (ESC). ESC is generated only by the Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs). We, Cyanergy had been striding since 2010 to get your energy-saving incentives right at your door by creating the certificates.

These certificates created by the Cyanergy are then surrendered to the liable party, for example, Energy Retailer, or otherwise failing to do it will lead to a penalty charged by the governing body. Once the installers are compliant with the upgrades, Cyanergy receives the pertinent documents to install the upgrades with the licenced technicians. To know in-depth about ESS, kindly visit here.

Energy Savings Industry Association (ESIA)

Energy Savings Industry Association (ESIA), formerly known as Energy Efficiency Certificate Creators Association (EECCA) is the peak national body that highlights the businesses accredited under various energy-saving schemes, such as Victorian Energy Upgrades Program (VEU), New South Wales Energy Savings Schemes (ESS), South Australian Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES), and Australian Capital Territory Energy Efficiency Improvement Scheme (EEIS).

Being at the forefront of tackling the whole energy-efficient schemes all across Australia, the ESIA is being supervised by the accredited energy efficiency certificate creators as the founding members. However, their tasks are not only limited to creating certificates, but rather they explore various sectors of the above schemes, such as some work as product and service provider, some work in the design and ongoing consultation, and some manage to focus more on the technological development of the new products and services.

The ESIA carries out a demonstration for gaining insights about the possible options, as well as complexities to aid a prudent solution to the ongoing challenges for consolidating the energy-saving schemes. The existing four schemes in VIC, NSW, SA, and ACT have accounted for a total reduction of four percent of the total electricity consumption. Cyanergy is the corporate member of ESIA since its inception. Click here to know more about ESIA.

Renewable Energy Target (RET)

The Federal Government Renewable Energy Target (RET) represents the Government’s policy which aims to see an alternative generation of electricity from the renewable sources. The RET is divided into two targets, such as the Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), and Large-Scale RET (LRET). SRES corresponds to the installation of the small solar panel setup or rooftop solar system below 100KW whereas the LRET represents the energy produced by the power stations, such as wind, solar farms, and biomass electricity generation.

Under SRES, you can apply for the Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) to get a discount on upfront price. The number of STCs and the amount are calculated based on the amount of electricity your solar panel creates or displaces in megawatts per hour. The STCs are sold to the contracted retailers for selling them to offset the price of the solar panels.

Like SRES, LRET allows the stations to apply for the Lower-scale generation certificates (LGCs) which do the same task as STCs. Fortuitously, Cyanergy as one of the registered agents since 2015, helps the owners of those power stations and small businesses to acquire the LGCs and STCs respectively to improve their systems by fulfilling all the relevant formalities. RET is governed by the Federal Clean Energy Regulator (CER). For more information, visit here.
